QUIT is<\/strong> not a cancel culture event! I\u2019ve never really understood what the cancelculture is anyway. It\u2019s defined as a modern form of public shaming and the results are that the target of the \u201coffense\u201d finds that they (can be a person or a group usually) loses support since they did or said something considered offensive or unacceptable. The result is that the target often faces professional loss, public backlash or social ostracism. I want to start another movement and I\u2019m going to call it QUIT<\/strong>.  This is not new \u2013 people have been \u201cquitting\u201d things, people, events, relationships, etc., forever. I\u2019ve decided to call it quits<\/em> for several things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUIT<\/strong> using the word appreciate<\/em>. It\u2019s a good word. It is a versatile politely used social tool that supposedly quickly builds goodwill, shows gratitude and validates another person\u2019s efforts. It has become overused and now applies to everyone and everything!! We appreciate your being on our show this morning<\/em> said often as a routine and rote way of ending the stint and often said after the moderator has just thoroughly bashed the individual for nearly 10 minutes. Kristen Welker is a good case in point. I\u2019m very sure that just \u2018thank you\u2019 conveys the same message without the annoying, routine repetition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUIT<\/strong> being so judgmental and hypercritical and condemning!! I\u2019m fairly certain that the people who are homophobic, religious zealots, against science, against technology, against education and educational institutions, against the free press, and so forth have never had the opportunity to delve into what each of their narrow minded or prescribed opinions might really be about. And now, our federal government is trying to prescribe what is \u201cgood for us\u201d and what we should be vehemently against. Humans, for the most part, are clear thinking, evaluative individuals. Most very firmly do not want to be told what to think, do, or believe or say. It is the judgmental people who just wear their opinions as a proud dictation of what they have been told is right. Grow up, do your research, ask questions, form your own body of knowledge, and then I will give you time to differ from me. Until then, QUIT spouting!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUIT<\/strong> trying to take this country back to the days before women stood up and shouted enough! There has been a recent movement to put women \u201cback where they belong\u201d in their homes, where some people truly do think they belong. It is a push to repopulate the country. China once put limits on the number of children families could have. It backfired. The current administration now wants to increase the number of births to guarantee that there will be enough workers to sustain our place in the world. Of course, the next thing will be to find a way for women to only give birth to boys and lots of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another day in paradise, me expressing my opinions! Thank you for reading! Oh, and one last quit! To the person continuing to try and shut this Blog down, QUIT. It\u2019s a federal offense and the consequences are dire and my team will be very determined and successful in getting the verdict we know we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
